Mr. McGhee moved and Mr. Lawton seconded approval of the consent agenda (Board Report 3), which included minutes from the Sept. 29, 2025 meeting, finance reports (agenda of bills, payroll, budgetary treasurer's report) and personnel items (changes of assignment; resignations/retirements; leaves of absence; and new hires). On roll call the board voted unanimously in favor.
The board approved Board Report 6.1, Policy 8:80 (Community Relations: Gifts to the District). The motion to adopt the policy was made by Mr. Lawton and seconded by Mrs. Dahlke; the roll call vote was unanimous.
On Board Report 6.2 the board designated Mr. Steve Sticklen as the district's delegate to the IASB Delegate Assembly at the 2025 Joint Annual Conference. The board subsequently approved Board Report 6.3 granting that delegate authority to vote on IASB resolutions and constitutional amendments "solely in accordance with the consensus of Libertyville District 70 Board of Education on October 27, 2025." Mr. Sticklen abstained on the delegate-designation vote; the remainder of the roll call was in favor.
Under Board Report 6.4 the board approved destruction of closed-session audio recordings that are 18 months or older when corresponding written minutes are securely maintained, consistent with the Open Meetings Act. The motion was made by Mr. McGhee and seconded by Mr. Lawton; the roll call vote was unanimous.
The meeting concluded with routine committee and FOIA reports before a motion to adjourn carried unanimously at 6:41 p.m.
