Students showcase Reed podcast club; board hears NEASC overview and facilities updates

Members of the Reed Intermediate School Pod Cast Club presented their work during the Board of Education meeting and publicly thanked the PTA and the board for supporting the new extracurricular club.
Chair Mrs. Plante updated the board on capital improvement projects, noting work on the HOM oil tank and driveway replacement, NHS pool resurfacing and Middle Gate millwork. She also reported that the ongoing NMS air‑conditioning unit installation has 15 units remaining before completion.
Superintendent A. Uberti summarized upcoming district events, including performances of Something Rotten Jr. at NMS and Willy Wonka Jr. at Reed. The board was also informed that the Ad Hoc Facilities Planning Committee will meet twice monthly through September; agendas and minutes will be posted online and summarized in the Weekly NPS Newsletter.
The meeting included a NEASC overview presented by Dr. Kim Longobucco to inform the board about accreditation considerations and timelines.
