The Oxford Community Schools Board of Education completed several routine governance items on Feb. 11. Vice President M. Aldred moved and Trustee S. Campagiorni supported approval of the consent agenda; the motion passed 7-0.
During Board of Education business, Dr. Milligan presented field trip requests for BPA States, OHS Robotics and an OMS trip to Washington, D.C. Trustees approved the OHS Leadership field trip; Secretary James Sommers moved and Trustee A. Acheson supported the approval, which passed 7-0.
Trustee Acheson moved and Board President Amanda McDonough supported the nomination of Paul Kolin to the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB) Board of Directors; the board recorded a 7-0 vote to approve the nomination. Trustees also approved the first reading of policies 4113 and 5409.01 by motion of Trustee S. Gibson and support from Treasurer M. Whitney; that motion carried 7-0.
The board discussed sending a letter to Governor Whitmer but tabled the item; no further action was recorded in the minutes on that correspondence.
