The revision also describes when alcohol may be sold on public property, rights-of-way, closed streets or at special events if the town grants permission.
Parker framed the changes as adjustments to operational hours and definitions rather than wholesale rewrites. He identified the social-district language and the brunch-hour provision as among the biggest changes in the draft. The Board heard the explanation but did not take final action on the ordinance at the work session; further consideration and formal readings or a vote would come later if the Board places the amendment on a future regular-meeting agenda.
The changes would shift the town's permissible sale hours on Sundays and set a framework for temporary or event-driven permitted sales on town-controlled property; the work session provided the Board an opportunity to review the proposed language before any formal introduction or vote.
