The splash pad is being treated as a fountain rather than a treated wading area; "we just quit putting this chemicals in it to make it like a pool," the staff member said, and the city no longer intends for people to enter it when it is in fountain mode.
Equipment and lighting: staff signed delivery paperwork for a new bucket truck the day of the meeting, which they said will let crews work on lights and other high-elevation maintenance. Members discussed replacing metal-halide lights at fields and in parking lots with LED fixtures to improve reliability and reduce long-term energy costs.
