District attorney tells court his office can operate within current staffing; no new positions requested

"Our staffing level has remained the same ... and I don't think there's any notable adjustments to it," Nash said, noting digitization, electronic evidence handling and remote access have helped the office manage a larger caseload without expanding personnel. Nash said the office has used state supplement funds from Senate Bill 2022 primarily to improve compensation and not to add staff.
He said his office is physically constrained for growth in the current facility and described how the county’s IT and software systems have improved efficiency. Nash did not present capital requests and urged the court to continue providing adequate baseline support so the office can respond to special needs as they arise.
Commissioners thanked Nash and asked no substantive follow‑up questions. Nash said he would continue to coordinate with the auditor and county management on any minor adjustments to line items if needs emerge.
