The City Council on July 14 adopted a proclamation declaring July 2026 as Parks and Recreation Month and recognizing the role parks play in community health and cohesion. Parks Director Henry Presolonzo, Commissioner Kyle Levy and Recreation Supervisor Adam Chao described programs and community events and invited residents to the Critter Crossroads Park grand opening tomorrow at 4:00 p.m.

"Tomorrow, 4PM Critter Crossroads is the grand opening," Presolonzo said, inviting residents to attend. Commissioner Kyle Levy noted San Ramon now has 59 parks with a 60th planned.
