Harlem Consolidated School District #122’s Committee of the Whole reached consensus on a package of routine business items during its Feb. 11 meeting at the Harlem Administration Center in Machesney Park.
The committee accepted the December 2025 treasurer’s report and approved a set of agreements and purchases presented by Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations Josh Aurand. The approvals included an agreement with Legends Global for rental of the BMO Harris Bank Center for graduation on May 23, 2026; a three-year renewal of auditing services with Sikich (FY26 $44,250; FY27 $45,500; FY28 $46,750); short-term contracts to provide speech-language pathology services through AYA Healthcare Inc. ($100 per hour; estimated total $48,750) and Sunbelt LLC ($112 per hour; estimated total $54,600), both funded with IDEA Flow Through Part B; a subscription for 300 FastBridge licenses and associated professional development for $2,355 paid from School Improvement 1003(a) funds; four days of Into Reading coaching ($15,120) and four days of ReadyMath coaching ($9,600) totaling $24,720 from School Improvement funds; and the Wilson Just Words program purchase for $21,861 from School Improvement funds.
Aurand presented each item as routine business and the committee registered consensus on each recommendation; no formal roll-call votes were recorded in the transcript. Funding sources were identified on the record where applicable: IDEA Flow Through Part B for the speech-language services and School Improvement 1003(a) funds for curriculum licenses, coaching and program purchases.
The committee also discussed scheduling for graduation and facility logistics tied to the BMO Harris Bank Center rental, which is planned for May 23, 2026. No additional conditions or amendments to the presented contracts were indicated during the discussion.
The business portion of the meeting adjourned at 4:48 p.m.
