Chase Lemons (speaker 13) told council that the advisory board selected option 3 in its packet and that the current schedule (Thursday–Sunday, 11 a.m.–9 p.m.) had been a positive start. “The board supports this expansion due to its potential to aid in food and beverage business recruitment, increase downtown foot traffic, support existing small businesses, and further activate downtown Reidsville during both regular business activity and in special events,” Lemons said.
Council members asked whether rules would change; Lemons said only the hours and days would change and that other rules would remain the same. A council member moved to extend the social district hours and a second was recorded; the chair called for those in favor to raise their hands.
