Middleton Housing Authority approves Memorial Drive bath‑fan upgrades and signs off on completion payments

Maria Paikos-Hantzis, chairperson of the Middleton Housing Authority, called the regular meeting to order at 4:15 p.m. on May 21. The board accepted the minutes of its April 16, 2026 meeting by a 5-0 vote.
The board approved a change order for work at Memorial Drive. Commissioner Ilene Twiss moved to approve Change Order 1, a $7,560 increase to cover the installation of four additional bath fans for Memorial Drive (project 184037); Commissioner Karen McCafferty seconded the motion and the board voted 4-0 to approve. Commissioner Douglas LeColst had left the meeting and was recorded as absent for that vote.
The board then approved the substantial completion and final completion for the Memorial Drive bath‑fan project. The board voted 4-0 to accept the CSC and CFC and associated payments totaling $37,592. The motion to approve completion documents was moved by Commissioner Ilene Twiss and seconded by Commissioner Karen McCafferty.
Recording Secretary Cynthia (Cindy) Dunn informed the board that a notice to proceed has been issued for the community room roof project with a start date of May 28, 2026. Dunn also said she will circulate possible alternate dates for the next meeting because members have conflicts with the regular schedule.
There being no further business, and following a motion by Commissioner Ilene Twiss, the meeting adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
