District reports full ESSER closeout; some positions absorbed into general fund

"We are finished. You can see we have spent a 100%. We've actually submitted claims this week for full reimbursement and submitted our reports as well," Presenter said, describing the closeout process and that the district will file a final report covering prior expenditures and student access.
Committee asked about personnel implications. Presenter said 47 full‑time positions had been funded by ESSER; senior leadership reviewed options and decisions included moving seven positions to the general fund, absorbing some roles into other district positions and eliminating others with opportunities for staff to move into other openings. "No one lost a job," Presenter said.
Members asked how furniture procured with ESSER leftovers was marketed and whether remaining assets would be reallocated; Presenter said operations and staff would follow up and that Freddie Lawton helped extend purchases and reallocate remaining funds during closeout.
The committee requested that staff provide follow‑up details on which positions were absorbed and which were sunsetted, and how any ongoing responsibilities will be funded going forward.
