On July 6, 2026 the town’s grant writer reported progress on several capital and grant-funded projects. Permits are in place to put the ballfields out for bid and Polly’s Rock Bridge has been released to bid, the minutes say. The grant writer is researching additional opportunities, including a possible EPG grant in the fall and infrastructure grant programs; they noted that some grant applications will require an updated “speedies number” (as recorded in the minutes).
The board separately approved Resolution No. 2026-140 to advertise an RFQ for rehabilitation of two little-league baseball fields at Angelo Canna Town Park; the motion was recorded as carried. The minutes also note the grant writer is looking into a Bricks Grant for the Senior Center.
Next steps recorded: advertise the RFQ for park field rehabilitation and proceed with bid solicitation for ballfields and bridge work as permits and funding allow.
