Ada County commissioners approve routine permits, personnel actions, claims and agreements

The Ada County Board of Commissioners handled a series of routine administrative items July 14.
The board ratified a previously signed catering permit, approved new catering permits and alcohol license transfers and authorized the chair to sign the documents. Commissioners approved the claims journal dated July 10, 2026, and ratified a casualty-loss tax cancellation for a mobile home destroyed by fire.
HR presented 12 personnel actions (nine new hires, two transfers and one job reclassification); staff said all actions had been reviewed by the auditor's office and HR and were within FY26 budget authority. The board approved the personnel slate by voice vote.
The board also approved a change order for operations (contract 31511CO26) related to the operations shop roof; approved concessionaire agreements for the Western Idaho Fair and Expo Idaho; approved nine agreements for Barber Park Education and Event Center; and approved four county agreements identified on the agenda. Finally, the board accepted recommendations from indigent services staff as listed in the summary of cases dated July 14, 2026.
All items were approved by voice vote; motions were moved and seconded as recorded in the meeting minutes.
