The Reedsburg Common Council approved Ordinance No. 1987-26 to change the intersection of South Viking Drive and Commercial Avenue to an all-way stop.
Max, representing public works, said the change responds to multiple complaints and a request from a nearby business. Max told the council the overhead map shows the intersection is confusing to drivers and that the public-works office had not received objections during its review.
Mayor Lehi opened the public hearing and received no public comment. Council member Dietrich moved to adopt Ordinance No. 1987-26; the motion was seconded and the council proceeded with affirmation. The measure passed and will take effect according to the ordinance timetable.
Max said the change aims to reduce driver confusion at the commercial/industrial park intersection and follows a request from a business located south of the intersection. Staff will implement signage and update maps as needed.
