The Village Board reviewed Goals 4 through 6 of the draft 2026–30 Strategic Plan and voted unanimously on June 22 to table formal adoption pending three revisions.
Administrator Paul Evert highlighted Goal 4 (communication), Goal 5 (workforce recruitment and retention) and Goal 6 (financial management). Trustees discussed proposed changes: removing the target number of 120 single-family lots under Goal 6 and instead leaving language focused on creation of single-family lots; revising the proposed Park Ranger position to an ordinance-enforcement role; and changing the phrase "targeted areas" to "designated areas" under Goal 1.
Trustee Chris Nielsen moved to table adoption of the Strategic Plan and incorporate the listed edits; Trustee Cathy Hughes seconded. The motion carried unanimously. The minutes do not record further schedule details for returning the revised plan for adoption.
The board also noted the Village intends to update the Comprehensive Plan as part of longer-term planning efforts.
