At its July 13 meeting the Planning Commission forwarded the final plat for the Bull Junior View Subdivision and acknowledged several staff actions, including a minor amendment to a specific implementation plan and a list of staff‑approved site plans.
Planning staff (Jennifer) said the Bull Junior View Subdivision is a proposed 23‑lot single‑family development submitted by Reedy Builders; staff found the final plat to be in substantial conformance with the previously approved preliminary plat and recommended forwarding it to the village board subject to conditions. "The preliminary plat was approved by the village board back in December 2025, subject to conditions," Jennifer said. A motion to forward/approve the final plat was made, seconded and carried.
Staff also described a minor amendment to a specific implementation plan at 6237 Business Highway 51 (a small shed associated with a business/Auto Spa). Because the change was considered minor under the ordinance, staff had administratively approved the change and brought it to the commission for formal acknowledgement; commissioners voted to acknowledge the action.
Jennifer presented a list of site plans approved since the commission’s last meeting and said most are already under construction, citing a Burger King project and a project called Favorite Cat; the Holiday Inn‑related project remains out for bids. Commissioners moved to acknowledge the list and approved the acknowledgement by voice vote.
In the monthly project update staff said the primary active building item is a small office addition for Precision Body and Frame on Post Avenue. Commissioners raised concerns about unfinished paving and a slab at a site near Select Auto, and about material theft slowing construction at another site; staff noted timelines and permit deadlines and that applicants may return for amendments or additional approvals if needed.
The commission also acknowledged May and June 2026 building permit reports and heard brief announcements about upcoming meetings and administrative improvements. The commission set the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee meeting for Aug. 3, 2026 and the next regular commission meeting for Aug. 10, 2026 before adjourning at 6:25 p.m.
