Council approves additional home elevations for Windward Preserve PUD

Taylor Morrison representatives presented an expanded lineup of home plans and elevations for the Windward Preserve planned unit development, and council approved the changes at the July 14 meeting.
Julie Salvo, vice president with Taylor Morrison, described additional 50‑foot and 60‑foot lot home plans with multiple elevation options (porch and non‑porch variants) and new 60‑foot models that include three‑car garages. "The goal is really to have a very diverse and architectural interest and elevations in the community so consumers have a lot more choices," Salvo said.
Council moved to approve the elevations and the first reading for the final PUD and preliminary subdivision with the standard conditions; the motion carried unanimously. Staff and the developer noted most technical matters (stormwater, buffers and site plans) will be resolved at site‑plan and DRC review stages.
City manager and council members reiterated the project is primarily developer‑led under an earlier RFP and that the development agreement contains tract and pricing provisions the builder must follow. Council members praised the model homes and encouraged continued communication between staff and the developer.
