The Bear Creek Public Utilities Commission voted on June 8 to table a proposed sewer rate increase until its next meeting, when the commission expects to hear from McMahons. Commissioner Alissa Thebo moved to postpone consideration; Commissioner Mike Young seconded. The motion carried with all in favor.
The motion came after review of the Water and Sewer monthly report, which Commissioner Mike Young presented in the absence of MCO. Commissioners listed a proposed sewer rate increase as a future agenda item and directed that discussion continue after McMahons provides additional information to the commission.
No public comments were recorded on the rate proposal during the meeting. The commission set the matter to return on the agenda for the next regular meeting on July 13, 2026.
