The director cautioned about liability and logistics: "My 1st thought was insurance liability waivers, all those types of things because ice is, you know, not great for heads when you fall." She also noted a drainage issue at the site and said city staff would likely face maintenance burdens if the city took on the rink.
The chair suggested that proponents should bring a formal presentation for the commission to review, including details on funding, maintenance plans and insurance arrangements.
