Library director Amanda Dickman to appear on South Carolina ETV/PBS 'Towns in Tune'

Director Amanda Dickman was selected as one of the musicians from Beaufort County to represent the area on the South Carolina ETV/PBS program 'Towns in Tune' and sang an original verse at the board meeting.
Board members surprised the group by announcing that Library Director Amanda Dickman was selected to represent Beaufort County musicians on the South Carolina ETV/PBS program "Towns in Tune." Dickman said she will travel to Happy Valley–Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador in August to film and perform with other local artists and a matched set of artists from Labrador.
"I've been selected as one of musicians living and working in Beaufort County to go to Labrador… to participate in the South Carolina ETV show and taping called Towns in Tune," Dickman said, describing that she will perform original songs and collaborate with a chef, a fashion designer, a visual artist and an author who selected three poems Dickman will set to music.
At the meeting Dickman performed a verse and chorus of a new song and said the piece was inspired by her dog, Toby. Board members congratulated her and the meeting proceeded to adjournment.
