Council planning staff asked the Carrollton City Council to postpone consideration of a special-use permit request for 109 and 111 South Park Street after the planning commission voted to deny the request in June.
Miss Connolly briefed the council that the applicant requests an increase in density in the C-2 (general commercial) zoning district and a waiver to reduce side setbacks from 15 feet to 5 feet, but that staff and the applicant remain in ongoing discussion to achieve the best outcome for the site. "At this time, staff is requesting a postponement until the August meeting," Miss Connolly said.
A councilmember moved to table the item; the motion was seconded and the council approved tabling to August on a voice vote. Staff said they will continue to work with the applicant prior to the next hearing.
No additional public testimony or conditions were adopted at the meeting.
