Commissioner Hilary Crothers‑Moore moved to adopt the ordinance with the Planning Office's recommendation; Commissioner Catherine Bernard‑Dutton seconded and the motion passed by unanimous vote.
Mayor Kelly Benson opened a public hearing on the ordinance at 7:04 p.m.; no members of the public or board offered comments and the hearing closed at 7:08 p.m. The ordinance replaces the town's existing CAO language and enacts revised appendices CA‑I, II and III as described in the ordinance text entered into the record.
Why it matters: Critical area overlay regulations govern development and environmental protections in shoreline and sensitive areas.
