Interim Town Manager Tony Sears presented Ordinance #2025-11-04, explaining the ordinance consolidates the sewer project with a previously adopted water project ordinance to streamline oversight and accounting. Staff reported ongoing field work: active fire-hydrant installations, water-line extensions, replacement of galvanized lines, and work at the wastewater treatment plant. Staff also noted typical construction challenges, including unexpected subsurface conditions that required coordination with contractors for tie-ins.
Council adopted Ordinance #2025-11-04 by a 3-0 vote. Council Member Mark Smith moved to approve and Council Member Keith Davis seconded.
The action authorizes continued construction and project management; staff will return with implementation details and follow-up as construction proceeds.
