Chamber introduces new staff, cites university partnership for construction-trades training

Herriman, Tenn. — Josh Hill, marketing and communications director for the Runwayx, told the Herriman City Council on July 7 that the chamber is partnering with the University of Tennessee and Martin State University on a grant to provide construction-trades courses along with wraparound services such as transportation and clothing assistance.
"We've been in partnership with the University of Tennessee and Marin State University, collaborating on a grant that is gonna provide courses related to construction trades and wrap around services such as transportation, clothing, equipment needs," Hill said, summarizing the program objectives and expected local benefit.
Hill introduced Reese Bacon as the chamber's new relationship manager and outlined recent chamber activity: tourism director Stacy Wilson completed a Southeast Tourism Society marketing program, the chamber hosted ribbon cuttings for a community recovery center and other businesses, and staff attended a community picnic. The chamber will circulate a recap of recent activities to council members.
What happens next: chamber staff will continue outreach and the council acknowledged the updates; no formal action was requested.
