Board approves policy updates, interfund transfers, leases and two closed-session settlements

The Ocean View School District Board of Trustees approved a package of policy and administrative items and reported two closed‑session settlement approvals during its July 14 meeting.

Key votes included approval to change the September board meeting date to Sept. 22 (voice vote, 3–0 with two absences); waiver of second reading for board bylaw 93105; revisions to Board Policy Series 4000 (certificated personnel) and related administrative regulations; a set of student‑related policies in the 5000 series (including guidance on student disturbances, weather safety, sun safety and student safety); and Resolution No. 012627 to establish temporary interfund transfers of special or restricted funds under Education Code section 42603. Both carried on roll call with the three trustees present voting yes and two members absent.
