County highway updates: Co. Rd. 16 work progresses; other county roads reported complete

Jesse Sedler, representing the highway department, updated the board on ongoing county road work and staffing.
Sedler reported that Phase I of County Road 16 is complete; Phase II work is in progress toward Greatbend and Phase III will cover the portion west of the interstate. A change order for Co. Rd. 16 will be submitted to Flex Funding for reimbursement. Rumble strips, seeding and permanent sign work are expected to finish next week.
Sedler also told the board that County Roads 8, 3, 26 and 2N are complete. He noted that Mark Vetter’s last day with the department is that day.
The board took no formal action on highway projects at the meeting; Sedler’s updates were informational. Staff follow‑up on the Flex Funding reimbursement and routine project closeout steps were implied.
