Richland County awards $5,000 to Lidgerwood for demolition, will provide another $5,000 if lot is redeveloped

Auditor/Administrator Sandy Fossum presented a letter from the city and called Mayor Kevin Oster into the meeting by speakerphone. Oster said the city intends to sell the lot to someone planning to build on it. Commissioner Nathan Berseth moved to approve the payment and Commissioner Rollie Ehlert seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
The minutes note the parcel number and the conditional additional payment but do not specify demolition cost details or the purchaser. The county made payment approval part of the meeting’s miscellaneous correspondence items and approved payment of the meeting bills in the same session.
