"We were able to increase the deployment rates for those who go out on the fires by 20%," he said. He also said personnel costs are passed through as reimbursable expenses and that the village will collect a 5% administrative fee on deployments to cover village costs tied to vehicle rentals and administration.
Chief (Speaker 7) explained that deployment pay does not apply when personnel work at their base in the village; base pay remains the regular village rate. He also noted standard reimbursement rules govern meals and incidental expenses and that receipts are required.
