The Occoquan Town Council on Sept. 17 unanimously adopted Ordinance O-2024-05, intended to recodify the town’s authorization for the utility license tax after staff were unable to locate the original ordinance.
Town Manager Adam Linn said the change is procedural: because the original ordinance cannot be located in the town code, the council is recodifying the authorization. Councilmember Eliot Perkins moved adoption, Councilmember Cindy Fithian seconded, and the measure passed by roll call vote with no opposition.
The council did not amend the measure during the meeting and recorded the adoption as presented.
