Denali superintendent Dan Pulte named 2025 Alaska Superintendent of the Year

Dr. Lisa Skyles Paradis, executive director of the Alaska Council of School Administrators and the Alaska Superintendents Association, joined the meeting by Zoom to announce that Dan Pulte was selected as the 2025 Alaska Superintendent of the Year and will represent Alaska at the 2025 AASA national conference.
"It's really my honor to join you this evening to recognize Dan Pulte as the 2025 Alaska superintendent of the year," Paradis said, outlining the nomination and selection process and praising Pulte's communication and Denali's personalized learning model.
Pulte thanked colleagues and emphasized the team effort behind the recognition, naming staff and long-time mentors in his remarks. "It's not something that happens alone... it's the team of everybody working together that's, in a sense, allowed me to get this honor for them," he said.
The board offered congratulations, and the district noted follow-up recognitions at statewide and national conferences.
Next steps: the district will celebrate the award and prepare for Pulte's representation of Alaska at national events.
