Stanford council adopts 2025–26 water and sewer budget ordinance

City Clerk Jone Allen read the ordinance aloud after Councilman Eddie Carter moved to entertain the second reading. Councilman Carter then moved to approve and pass the ordinance, and Councilman Jerry Wilkinson seconded. "All in favor, motion carried," the council recorded.
The ordinance was approved on a 6–0 vote with all council members present supporting the measure. The council took the action during its regular meeting at the Lincoln County Public Library meeting room.
The vote followed the procedural second reading required for adoption; the council did not record amendments or a roll-call breakdown beyond the unanimous result. The council adjourned at 7:34 p.m.
