Onancock Main Street (OMS) is planning advertising and events tied to an October bike tour and will host two resident/business engagement sessions Sept. 5 and Sept. 7, with a postcard and QR-code survey. OMS plans to apply for a Virginia Tourism Commission micro-business grant for up to $10,000 with an in-kind match. Historic Onancock School reports progress on the Performance Pavilion, ongoing fundraising (including a substantial anonymous gift) and staffing searches.
Manager's notes: Spuck reported that the Welcome Centers front and rear doors are scheduled for mid-September delivery and that several zoning applications were recently approved. Councilmembers asked for clearer financial reports and named upcoming local events.
