Road/DES reports: Kelly Road finished, transmission for county truck estimated at $8,500

Road/DES Ray Rowton told the Petroleum County Commissioners on July 22 that the Kelly Road project is finished after hauling 64 loads and that crews expect to complete work on Yellowwater Road this week.
Rowton said he had located a transmission for the county's yellow truck and estimated the parts and installation would cost about $8,500. He also reported he shut down the county mower for the week as a fire‑safety precaution.
On reclamation, Rowton said he received a reclamation notice and that "Nick from Stahly" had submitted the required documentation for the Cat Creek Pit. Nick Winfield was recorded as calling in to the meeting with gravel‑pit questions and concerns.
The board did not take any formal action on road repairs or pit reclamation at the meeting.
