Richland County commissioners used the July 23 meeting to clear several routine consent and correspondence items, approving multiple contracts and notices and authorizing payment of payroll and expenses.
Administration Personnel South reported the county will approve a Jail Bed Per Diem Contract with Roberts County and a Cooperative Law Enforcement Annual Operating & Financial Plan with the U.S. Forest Service, both subject to review by the State's Attorney; both motions passed unanimously. The Board also approved a raffle permit for Three Rivers Archers.
The meeting record included notices from state and regional entities: a permit issued to T & G Sanitation for a solid waste management facility; Garrison Diversion Conservancy District grant applications due Sept. 3 for its Matching Recreation Grant Program; and a Notice of Filing Ten Year Plan for the Flickertail Solar Project. The Richland County Soil Conservation District will host a free Geology Tour on Aug. 13 starting in Hankinson.
The Board approved payment of bills by unanimous vote. Payroll and expense totals recorded in the minutes list payroll totals for June 2024 at $768,181.65 and expenses at $2,661,698.09, for a combined total of $3,429,879.74.
The Board listed upcoming meetings for Aug. 6 and 20, Sept. 3 and 17, and Oct. 1 and 15 before adjourning at 9:36 a.m.
