Only flush toilet paper," he said, noting that the wipes can clog lift-station pumps, slow sewer flow, contribute to freezing and burst pipes, and cause costly repairs and public-health risks. The minutes record that Rolla has an ordinance prohibiting flushing such items and that violations can carry fines up to $500 and potentially require the responsible party to pay for repairs.
