The Rolla City Council approved an agreement with Ottertail Power Company on April 15 to purchase, install and maintain outdoor lighting where maps provided by Ottertail show 23 streetlight replacements.
The item had been added to the meeting agenda earlier in the evening; the council reviewed Ottertail-provided maps showing the locations for the replacements. On a motion by Councilmember Paul Frydenlund, seconded by Clarence Booth, the council approved the form "Agreement for Purchase, Installation and Operation & maintenance of Outdoor Lighting Facilities between Ottertail Power Company and The City of Rolla." The roll call vote was recorded as all members voting "Aye."
The minutes do not report a purchase price, estimated annual operating cost, or a start date for installation; the council approved the agreement and authorized staff to work with Ottertail Power Company to implement the replacements. Public Works Director Cliff Rush was referenced as the city contact for implementation and discretion on painting and related public-works spending.
The council approved the item as part of regular business and adjourned at 7:44 p.m.
