Assessor Jim Henke told the Village of North Bay Board of Review on June 16, 2025, that he will resign effective July 1, 2025, and recommended Dan McHugh of Affiliated Appraisal LLC as a candidate to fill the position. Henke suggested a target appointment date of Oct. 1, 2025, to align with 2026 budget preparations.
During his report Henke said market revaluation notices were mailed in early May and that seven Open Book Review sessions with property owners were completed and resolved without formal objections. He told the board that total valuation increased 12.7% and that he will coordinate filing the 2025 Statement of Assessment (SOA) on the Wisconsin Department of Revenue website with Clerk Dori Panthofer. Henke noted the Wisconsin Department of Revenue will finalize equalized values by Aug. 15, 2025.
Henke recommended Affiliated Appraisal LLC (Dan McHugh) as his successor, noting that the firm typically completes annual market adjustments and uses the same software that will facilitate transition; no formal appointment was made at the meeting. The board recorded no pending objections or requests related to the assessment roll; Clerk Dori Panthofer verified receipt of the assessment roll and sworn statements.
