At the July 13 meeting, the Board of Supervisors voted to participate in the Montgomery County Consortium fuel contract, which was awarded to SJ Fuel South and runs from Sept. 1, 2026, through Aug. 31, 2027. Public Works Director Greg Reif said allocations for fuel were included in the township's 2026 approved final budget. "The contract has been awarded to SJ Fuel South," Reif said.
The board also approved a purchase of a storage shed for William F. Mall Park from Country Time Sheds. The packet included a quote dated June 25, 2026, for $11,965; during the motion the cost was also stated as $11,956 in the meeting transcript. The board approved the purchase and noted $15,000 was included in the 2026 capital investment plan for the item.
Reif recommended replacing incandescent parking-lot fixtures with LED fixtures to improve energy efficiency and reduce maintenance. A quote dated June 18, 2026, from City Electric Supply Company showed a fixtures total of $8,100; $16,869 is included in the 2026 capital plan for the broader lighting project. The board approved the LED purchase and confirmed the work will be performed in-house.
All three measures passed by voice vote; there was no public opposition recorded on the floor. Staff will execute the fuel contract participation, order the approved shed and fixtures, and report back on delivery and installation schedules.
