Union City plans smoke-and-dye testing after sinkhole work in Municipal Lot #1; paving quotes sought

Council instructed staff to obtain paving quotes from JT Patching and Paving and Cross Paving to repave the affected area and the catch-basin vicinity; nearby business owners and the Union City Volunteer Fire Department will be notified before testing.
Council also approved submitting an application for up to $100,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds to pay for a portion of the stormwater work in Municipal Lot #1. Councilor Steadman moved and Councilor Osborn seconded the motion; it carried unanimously.
