Council considers boxcar for storage and tables projector purchase until next meeting

Deborah Dillard reported the Clifton Business Association's interest in purchasing a Norfolk Southern boxcar for storage; delivery was estimated at about $14,000 to $15,000. The Council agreed the idea warranted further research and asked Fred Ansick, in coordination with John Powell, to research locations and logistics and report back at the next meeting.
Dillard also proposed purchasing a projector and screen for the Community Hall with an estimated cost of about $800 and requested authority to spend up to $800. After discussion the motion was withdrawn and the item was tabled to the next meeting; Dillard was asked to return with specific equipment details and a plan for how the equipment would be used.
No contracts or purchases were approved on July 2; both items are pending follow-up research and a future Council decision.
