Planning Commission recommendation to extend Animal Clinic hours approved by Clifton council

The Clifton Town Council on Oct. 2 approved the Planning Commission’s recommendation to amend the Use Permit for Animal Clinic of Clifton Inc. and Dr. Ihrig at 12702 Chapel Road to extend operating hours.
Kathy Kalinowski presented the Planning Commission’s decision and said the commission recommended approval of hours extending to 8 a.m.–8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Sunday, with all other aspects of the existing use permit unchanged. Dr. Ihrig told the council the extended hours are intended to let clinic staff care for animals that arrive after normal business hours without violating the permit.
Wayne Nickum moved to accept the Planning Commission recommendation; Dwayne Nitz seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved.
The council’s action amends only the hours specified in the permit; the transcript records no other changes to the Use Permit conditions.
