Chair Tim Ripp responded by asking committee members to review the Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan and the city's comprehensive plan ahead of the next meeting and said he wanted tree removal and management researched by staff. James Lincoln, superintendent, was asked to look into tree removal and management in the city and report back to the committee.
The committee added development of a parks value statement and a tree management plan to future agendas, signaling the item will return for more detailed discussion and possible policy direction. No formal policy or ordinance was proposed or adopted at the Feb. 4 meeting.
