Trustee Dr. Levinson briefed the board on the Lehigh Career & Technical Institute (LCTI) Joint Operating Committee meeting held June 4. He said the JOC approved two administrative hires: Dr. Matthew Zampeti will become director of career and technical education effective August 3, moving from a supervisory role within LCTI; Numa Pompilio was approved as director of facilities effective July 13.
Levinson recognized three CTSO national competition placers from member schools and reported LCTI participation in a PASA CTE caucus meeting on the future of career and technical education in Pennsylvania. He also said the 24–25 audit work began June 29, prior administrative issues have been resolved and the business office expects the 25–26 audit to return to a traditional timetable.
On the 26–27 LCTI budget, Levinson said all member districts voted and the tally recorded in the JOC materials was 70 yes, 2 no, 8 absent and 1 abstention, allowing the budget to be submitted to Harrisburg on time.
