Resident urges Stephens City to form Main Street beautification work group; council refers idea to Public Works Committee

During public comment at the Sept. 4 Stephens City Town Council meeting, resident Dee Williams proposed that Stephens City pursue Main Street beautification similar to improvements she recently observed in Strasburg. Williams volunteered to lead a citizen work group to develop and help implement the project.
Councilmembers responded favorably and agreed to refer the idea to the Public Works Committee for further consideration. Also during public comment, Assistant Scout Master Jim Vogt said two Scouts accompanying him were pursuing citizenship merit‑badge projects and requested permission to interview council members after the meeting. The council allowed the request.
