The Ruidoso Downs City Council moved and approved Resolution 2025-03 authorizing staff to apply for New Mexico Department of Transportation municipal program funds to mill, fill and recompact North Central Lane.
A staff member explained the program is a 75% program with a 25% local match and said the work would focus on the roadway surface rather than curb reconstruction. "If we get it, it'd be a 0 match," the staff member said while describing grant-match options and construction scope.
Councilor (mover) said he would make the motion and another councilor seconded it; the clerk called the vote and multiple council members responded in the affirmative. The motion carried.
The resolution authorizes applying for street and drainage improvement funds for Ruidoso Downs; the council did not discuss detailed bid or construction schedules at this meeting. The council adjourned after the action.
