The Wheatland City Council adopted Ordinance 213-27, an amendment to Chapter 160 (Floodplain Management), after a brief public hearing that drew no public comment.
Mayor Jeremiah Wiese opened the hearing at 6:52 p.m. and closed it at 6:53 p.m. Council Member Kelly moved to waive the first and second readings of the ordinance; Council Member Hicks seconded and the motion passed with all ayes among those present. Council Member Hicks then moved to approve the third reading of Ordinance 213-27, Council Member Kelly seconded, and the council approved the ordinance by the same unanimous voice vote.
The ordinance number and chapter were read into the record; no members of the public spoke during the hearing. The council did not discuss substantive amendments to the ordinance during the meeting and provided no additional changes on the record.
Next steps: The city will publish the adopted ordinance per normal codification and posting procedures and carry out any administrative tasks required under Chapter 160.
