Selectboard adopts Orford Bandstand donor trust and asks committee to scope repairs for bids

The Orford Selectboard on Aug. 28 reviewed and approved the purpose of the 'Orford Bandstand Charitable Trust Fund' and a donor agreement document that Town Counsel had reviewed and amended.
After making a few minor changes, Selectboard member Kevin Follensbee moved and Larry Taylor seconded motions to accept both the trust purpose and the donor agreement; both motions passed 3-0.
Ann Green outlined steps to advertise for contractors for bandstand repairs. The Selectboard directed the Bandstand Committee to prepare and provide a scope of work for the project; the Selectboard will post the bid and review submitted proposals.
No contract awards were made on Aug. 28; the board's actions formalize the fundraising and procurement path for bandstand repairs and authorize the committee to move forward with a scoping document.
