Port Wing board appoints 2026 election inspectors, updates septic-dumping fee

The Port Wing Town Board on Jan. 12, 2026 approved routine minutes and financial reports and appointed election inspectors for the 2026 calendar year.
A motion by Ken Bodeen, seconded by Carri Hoagland, to accept the Dec. 15, 2025 meeting minutes carried “all in favor.” A subsequent motion by Carri Hoagland, seconded by Ken Bodeen, to accept the December 2025 treasurer’s report also passed unanimously.
In new business the board voted, on a motion by Ken Bodeen and seconded by Carri Hoagland, to appoint the following people as election inspectors for 2026: Pamela Lawrenz Holt, Brett Bodeen, Karen Anderson, Bill Bodeen, Ceil Held, Ken Bodeen, Mark Johnson, Janice Beth Lynn, Marge Ogren and Nora Tribys. The minutes record the motion carried “all in favor.”
The minutes also record an update to the town’s septic-dumping pricing, setting the rate at $25 per 1,000 gallons, effective Feb. 1. The record does not show a detailed motion text in the minutes beyond that pricing change.
The board set its next meeting for Feb. 9, 2026. The meeting was adjourned on a motion by Ken Bodeen, seconded by Carri Hoagland; the adjournment motion carried “all in favor.”
