Pleasant Prairie board confirms planning commission and CDA appointments

The Pleasant Prairie Village Board approved a slate of appointments and reappointments to the Planning Commission and the Community Development Authority (CDA).
A staff member presented the nominations: Terry Rice to complete Brock Williamson’s Planning Commission term (term shown as 09/10/2024–04/30/2026); Nudlika Thormson to fill the remainder of Wayne Kessel’s term (09/10/2024–04/30/2025); and Tom Gentner to move from Planning Commission Alternate #3 to Alternate #1 (09/10/2024–04/30/2025). For the Community Development Authority, the board approved terms for Tom Ryherzer (10/07/2024–10/06/2029), Joe Sikorsky (10/07/2024–10/06/2029) and Dustin Decker as Alternate #1 (10/07/2024–10/06/2025).
The staff member noted these are largely reappointments or movements of current alternates rather than brand-new appointments and explained that some alternate positions remain open; interested residents were encouraged to apply via the village website. A trustee moved approval, another seconded, and the board voted to approve the appointments.
The board discussed the process briefly and confirmed that the Park Commission will review a consultant’s interim park plan findings at its meeting tomorrow at 5 p.m.; any recommendations would later go to the Village Board.
