The Plaistow TRAC committee conducted several procedural actions at its Feb. 20, 2025 meeting. Chair Jay DeRoche moved to allow Marie-Claire (Mary-Claire) Galera and Dominic Guerriero to serve as voting members for the meeting; the motion was seconded by David Gerns and carried 6-0-0.
Dominic Guerriero moved to approve the minutes from the Jan. 16, 2025 meeting; Chair DeRoche seconded the motion. The minutes were approved with a recorded vote of 4-0-2, with David Gerns and Bill Coye recorded as abstentions.
Chair DeRoche read a draft letter written by committee member Richard Finnegan arguing that recycling is both better and less costly than regular trash collection. The committee discussed edits, reached consensus to post the revised letter on the Town of Plaistow website, include it in an email blast and post it on Facebook, and charged Chair DeRoche with making changes and circulating an updated draft for approval.
